Property types on DomBazaar explained
The current Home and Business property types, what each label is for, and which details the listing form asks for.

Choose Home or Business first
The Post a property form separates Home property types from Business property types. Choose the category and label that describe the property itself, not the result you hope the listing will get.
Home property types
These are the six current Home choices in the listing form and residential search.
Apartment
A home within a larger residential building. The form can record floor, total floors, building details, lift and balcony information.
House
A general residential house. The form can also record the land area in Sotok when it is known.
Cottage
Use this when the property is presented as a cottage rather than a general house. Land area in Sotok can also be added.
Villa
Use this when the property is presented as a villa. Land area in Sotok can also be added.
Dacha
Use this for a property presented as a dacha, including a seasonal or recreation property. Land area in Sotok can also be added.
Land
A land plot. The form requires Land area in Sotok and Land purpose instead of rooms, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Business property types
These four choices live under Business in the same form.
Office
A business workspace. The form requires Floor area m² and can record floor and total floors.
Shop
A space presented for retail or customer-facing trade. The form requires Floor area m².
Warehouse
A space presented for storage or operational use. The form requires Floor area m².
Café
A space presented as a café. The form requires Floor area m².
Studio and Duplex are legacy labels
Older unchanged listings can still contain Studio or Duplex. They are not choices for a new listing or a changed property type.
How to choose accurately
The property type should help people understand what they are opening.
- Choose For rent or For sale separately from the property type.
- Use Home for Apartment, House, Cottage, Villa, Dacha or Land.
- Use Business for Office, Shop, Warehouse or Café.
- For Land, choose the real Land purpose and enter the area in Sotok.
- Explain any unusual layout, shared space or mixed use clearly in the Description.
What the property type controls
The type does
- Control which detail fields the form shows.
- Help place the listing in the relevant Home or Business experience.
- Give people a first description of the kind of property.
The type does not
- Verify the legal classification, condition or permitted use.
- Prove ownership or the right to rent or sell.
- Replace a clear title, description and photos.
