How viewing requests work on DomBazaar
Learn what happens when you request a viewing, what acceptance means, and when the saved mobile number can be revealed.

Important to understand
A viewing request is not a reservation. Acceptance is not verification of the property, ownership, or identity. It means the listing contact is willing to hear from you — nothing more.
How the request flow works
Six steps from listing to mobile number reveal.
Open a listing and send a viewing request
Tap the request button on a listing. You will be prompted to write a first message before the request is submitted.
Write and send your first message
Your message is sent with the request. The listing contact reads it before deciding whether to accept or decline.
The listing contact reviews your request
They read your message and decide whether to accept or decline. This can take time — contacts are not always online.
Continue in Messages while the request is pending
The request and its first message appear in Messages as soon as they are sent. Both sides can continue messaging while the listing contact decides.
Accept or decline
Messaging stays open after acceptance. A decline closes new messaging and keeps the saved mobile number private.
Phone reveal is a separate choice after acceptance
After acceptance, the requester can choose to reveal the listing contact's saved mobile number on the accepted listing page or in Messages. It stays private before that choice.
Write a useful first message
Use the first message to answer basic questions without back-and-forth.
- State when you want to visit — a specific date or a range of dates.
- Mention how many people will attend the viewing.
- State your intent — renting, buying, or asking for more information.
- Mention anything in the listing you want to check in person.
- End with a clear question to make replying easy.
First message: before and after
Both messages were sent on the same listing. One gives the contact a reason to reply.
Too vague. The contact has nothing useful to answer.
Specific, polite, and easy to respond to.
How phone reveal works
By design, the listing contact's saved mobile number stays private on the public listing and before acceptance. After acceptance, the requester can choose to reveal it on the accepted listing page or in Messages. It is not sent by email.
